I bought a power supply for my computer (~Acer Aspire M3800~) and all the plugs fit in splendid, except the one that looks as if its going into my DVD drive, or towards the power button at least. So I put my old power supply back in and it works balmy, so was there a certain type of power supply I should have bought?
If you servile the 4pin molex power connector for IDE DVD drives then they are usually steadfastly to plug into the DVD drive most of the time. I don't know what you far-out by "except the one that looks as if its going into my DVD drive, or towards the power button". Try a varied molex plug from the power supply.
Also once you get it pluged in it's hard to un-dam up also.
