I have a 3-year-old Acer laptop with Centrino-based Gist 2 Duo T7200 processor and would like to buy a smaller laptop and was all things the Acer Aspire 1825PTZ which has a Pentium (Dual Core) SU4100. I empathize with that the latter processor is likely to be slower, but is there anything that I can do only on the former and not the latter (like HD video)?
I distinguish this doesn't fully answer your question, but I have a netbook with the N450 processor. It is Tardy. Even with upgraded ram the thing only crawls.
I would think about the new intel i3. They are for a song and efficient.
