At college i will impecuniousness a great laptop that can run for long periods of unceasingly a once without charging it, and that will be able to withstand the intense video prey developing. I know that the M11x can withstand all of the graphic frantic stuff. And the m15x can winthstand it easily. But the M15x is about 9 pounds and very heavy for a college student.
If your tenderness is set on Alienware, then you need the M15x - preferably with a quad processor (ouch! $$$) for evolution work. You may very well wind up needing to do video version, which is tremendously cpu dependent.
Personally, I'd avoid the alienware brand name name and get a more powerful, if less sexy brand name.
