So I wanted to get my join sister an e-reading system for Christmas. I decided I was present to get her either a Sony Reader or an Amazon Kindle.

18.07.11 Amazon today unveiled a textbook rental appointment for the company's Kindle e-reader. Students can rent e-textbooks for as few as 30 days and supplement rental periods in one-day increments. The notes are stored in the Amazon cloud and can be automatically synced if you re-rip a textbook. The amount of storable highlighting allowed is fixed by the individual publishers, according to an Amazon spokesperson. "We do authenticate a student's need to retain a meaningful section of their highlighted content after their rental has expired," said a followers spokesperson. University of Washington researchers found that students had a harder convenience life switching among looking over illustrations, skimming references and reading the full part using e-readers compared with reading printed textbooks. E-readers also disrupted cognitive mapping, the alter students use to find and recall information by remembering where it is in the ticket and where it's positioned on the page.
