It depends on the ilk of battery. Okay so this is queer and scary!! I was given a macbook pro in the summer as a backsheesh but it was given as in "used" by my grandpa. So i have had it about for about 5 months. It was smashing ! i had no problems what so ever. So today i realized that when i went to go dam up in my adapter to charge it stayed green when commonly it turns orange THEN green when charged to the max.
All you prerequisite to do is replace the battery. You will probably have to buy it unless the Macbook is still under undertaking. You can call Apple and describe the problem, and they will help you out. I don't really see a way around buying a new battery. I grasp its expensive, but it will be worth it in the long run.
