so i went to saw wood with my laptop at bedside and when i woke up it was on the ground! either my dog could have bumped it onto the footing or something (it was hanging over about 4 inches, but it wouldn't fall without compulsion.) now the hinge is slightly out of alignment and it creaks a bit. of ambit, you're thinking "aw no big deal, who cares if it's out a bit?
Well if you paid$1300 for it and need to keep it in mint condition then why are you leaving it on your bed, running, with a dog in the field?
Nothing you can do to fix it unless you want to void your warranty.

Apple has changed their website and removed the "On Your Lap" whisper that once appeared on the student page.
