I was having a gossip with my cousin the other day about Apple products. The object that they might be purchasing their first Apple computer next week excites me to no end (and might compose me a absolute geek but that will not keep me from hiding my upset). Almost two years ago, I got my first iPhone. I have hardly removed it from my on hand since the day I bought it. About a month after I got my iPhone, I got my first MacBook Pro after being gently shoved away from my PC by my New Zealand mate, Justin. He knew that my Gateway was causing turmoil in my technological soul and he loudly campaigned for a new computer. I knew that he was repair but we all comprehend how I texture about modify. I had the Apple IIGS back in the day but after that computer I started using Dells and Gateways. In 2009, I unswerving that it surely was in my first interest to keep one's ears open to Justin’s commendation so I bought my MacBook Pro.

Which Mac/Apple Laptop shoudl I buy for studying photography in college?

I start school in fall 08 but i am going to buy it now. also include why i should get that marked one. i think there are 3 different types.

I need to buy the computer now because I dont have one. I privation to put my pictures somewhere. and i really want a mac because the schools only use mac and i necessity to get used to it.

Having been a Mac alcohol for more than twenty years, and as a Digital Photography and Photoshop teacher, I can only say - Go for it! You're accepted to love the Mac life ... especially if you'll be using Photoshop.

Of surely, there will be newer, faster, slicker Mac laptops coming out in the later. But you said you need to get one now.

Mac or PC it matters not. Photoshop runs well in both.

That said, you will be studying photography using coat for at least the first year, so having a HOT notebook computer is not necessary ... yet.

Minister to until you really need to use Photoshop before you buy an expensive computer. A less than $600 computer will do all you dire for the rest of your classes.

Not to talk with fhotoace but Photoshop is alleged to run better on a Mac. I vocation for a screenprinting company and they have a Mac and a PC at each art station. The Mac handles all the photoshop chores, the PC handles most the remain. A year ago there was only a PC, and the Macs (from what I hear) are a vast advance. We are talking about some hard core graphics however.
