Why are so many laptops made from aluminium, if it conducts electricity?

Why, in the name of peanut pudding, do Apple, HP and others set upon laptops from aluminium if it conducts electricity? Would it not be very believable, or make the laptop run warm so it burns your skin if you put it on your lap? Is it to do with stir radiation?

And please be sensitive, I'm not very clever.

The working parts of the laptop, the ones meant to actions electric current, are insulated from the aluminum trunk by plastic, or simply by air.

As far as heat, aluminum is also a propitious conductor of heat. The result of that is that my laptop can actually tolerate unpleasantly cold when just starting up. The aluminum conducts hot up away from my body.

Aluminum casings do better with getting heat out of the unit. Keeping he processor removed is a major challenge in the small volumes allotted in a laptop. The take care of the problem is to isolate the high voltage power well enough so that it can never motivate the case.
