I noticed that Apple laptops as usual have lower processor speeds, and smaller hardened drives than Windows. Does that mean the Mac will run slower?
The specs for one that I'm interested in are listed below for $500
Merchandise Family: PowerBook Hard Urgency Capacity: 30 GB
Processor Type: PowerPC G4 Operating System: Mac OS 10.
I expect that computer is enough for the tasks you will be doing. For typing documents I would insinuate NeoOffice. It's free and I think it runs a wee better the MS Office 2004 and is compatible. I expect the Mac is better than windows for me because I just like the overall polish of the system and conviction.
It should become public as no surprise by now that I am not a huge fan of Apple, the company. I do think they humour excellent hardware, and my laptop is a MacBook Air running Windows 7. Their trade practices, however, are pretty shady, and it’s my opinion that they about nothing but contempt for their customers..
Apple laptops are a tad bit more valuable simply because they're better built and I assume, a part of it is because you're always paying marginally extra for the "Apple" name. Today's Apple laptops are powered by Intel Center Duo processor, which in undecorated English translates that now they're able to run faster and carry out more tasks than the previous generation's processor. They can be selling twice as quickly as PC laptops, mind you, Wii is out-selling Ps, Dell and Toshiba are utilizing AMD...
Do you still pay a prize for Apple's laptops? Not always, as we found when comparing Windows and Apple models.
Apple's laptops have be given b win of age with many of their laptop models reaching the top of the market share. As the one to rout in terms of design, it was only a matter of time before another laptop industrialist would try to match Apple, which is what HP have done with their HP Envy line of laptops against Apple's MacBook Pro.
A few weeks ago, I bought my first Apple laptop, the MacBook Air. I???ve never loved a laptop more. The spare profile, the ease of carrying it around, the full-sized keyboard and interview, the slick Mac OS X Leopard operating system.CE(Apple Computer)
