My netbook's ac adapter melted.. Replace with Japanese factory brand or another Asus adapter?

My Asus eee pc Seashell 1005ha's ac adapter overheated, cracked a wire and melted itself. Is it more wisely to pay 100 dollars for something namebrand that melts and has a human being expectancy of about 6 months, or risk buying an ac adapter much more affordably from an questionably reliable overseas producer that doesn't manufacture anything for Asus? I don't scantiness to waste my money.

100 dollars for 6 months..? How is that heartier than the 10 dollar cheap one? There are better options out there you be aware.
