Asus Netbook screen problem?

I unprejudiced got an Asus Netbook EEE Pc 900 today refurbished and I turned it on and the screen comes on and it's a fluorescence black then it flickers to a complete dark screen and sometimes it will stop on one or the other and then do it again. I tried pushing keys, I progressive it run for like 10 mins, and stuff. Anything that will on it stop?
