It’s a lot faster than I was in the club, and multitasks altogether well (granted, the worst I have been subjecting it to has been installing many programs, streaming videos, and some video processing). The trackpad has been annoying at times (the multitouch is nowhere as goodness as a mac and it often misinterprets scrolling to be resizing etc). Other than that and the insufficient battery person, this is a sympathetic netbook. But see if you can get one of the newer ASUS netbooks (with 11 hrs battery existence and dual nucleus processors) on garage sale – they might drop down to $320 or so which is not much more than what this is selling for.
