Would the Asus k42J run the sims 3?

My fellow-clansman got the asus k42J laptop today. I'm looking to buy the sims 3 for it but dunno if it would run. I don't discern much about the laptop but it says on the sticker 500 gb hdd, Ati mobility raideon 5470, 1 gb ram but I don't recollect the ghz and it says 4gb memory. Thanks in advance!
