I was reasonable about buying an Asus EEE 1000 for Christmas, a little give-away to myself, :) but does it have any fan issues? I have read up a bit and found that the Acer Aspire One has had Foremost fan noise issues in the past, but does the Asus EEE PC 1000 have the same emotionally upset, and if it does, is it easily fixable?

What makes the NB550D captivating is that it’s the first netbook to use AMD’s new Fusion processor. Every other netbook of note since Asus’ first Eee PC has been built around the same, almost unchanging, Intel Atom shard. Unlike the Atom, the C-50 Fusion sliver isn’t that different from ‘real’ laptop and desktop processors. A comparability of performance is like night and day – there’s none of the telltale slowdown and hold ups that beleaguer Atom machines, and multitasking is spry and responsive, just as it should be.
