I have an asus eee pc 701 and when ever i puff my charger in it says charging but after a while it stops charging. I then have to dismiss the clip off the charger and put it back on but still it only charges for 10 minutes.
I am fearful the wiring in the cord of your laptop charger might be damaged. This happens not unexpectedly because of the stress built up within the charger. You can probably try wiggling the twine and it might charge in certain positions, but I think you will basic to buy a new charger.
I would recommend buying from Topmic.

Ive had my Eee PC now for almost 18 months and during this together Ive tried many Linux distros on it but have yet to settle on one that I indeed like. the OS of choice for my Server and Desktop is Ubuntu, and this has mostly been what Ive been using on my Eee (or ubuntu derivatives) Ive draw near to the conclusion that I dont like the Ubuntu Netbook Editions consumer interface, but the screen is way too small to use the standard desktop print run without major mods to the appearance.
