Superb gizmo, very comparable to the new Macbook Air. Purchased through Dell in a beeline for $824 for the Cream story with SL9600 (2. Negatives are few – battery way of life not as special-occasion as the Air, the conceal backlighting is importunate at times, the speakers and all the ports are on the back (not standards). Inclusive though, very keen and well made ultra delicate laptop. I purchased the gem waxen Adamo last year for Christmas and loves the color, authority, and dash. A Dell rep came out and replaced the motherboard and the charging twine. Again, a new motherboard came this measure with a new cull. Dell has agreed to send another computer since the parts did not fix the efflux.

Are there any Athletic laptops with METAL case besides Apple Mac and Dell Adamo?

I don't longing to buy Apple. I've read about the batteries in their laptops exploding. Also they use wonderful glossy screens - hard to read. Also no SD press card reader in pro models.
The Panasonic Toughbook is doubtlessly one of the more rugged laptops I have heard of. It was originally designed for military, law enforcement and industrial uses

And just to clarify things, it's discontinuing the last gizmo in its lineup that was simply called a MacBook. From now on, if you indigence a Mac portable, you'll choose between a MacBook Air and a MacBook Pro. I've already been using its forebear as my primary system since last fall, dual-booting it between OS X and Windows 7.
