I have a intel centre 2 duo in my studio xps socket p of course, I want to upgrade to a intel heart 2 quad, socket p, anyone know if it's easy and if I could do it my self without having to harm the frame or motherboard? and if it is not too hard?
Laptops aren't meant to be upgraded like that. Besides the certainty that the parts are interwoven so tightly together that you'd have trouble getting them not including without damaging something, the quad core processors use 30% more power, and therefore beget 30% more heat, than the Core 2 Duos. You computer doesn't have the airflow to burn up that heat, so you'd just fry the laptop.
