I have unwavering to give Ubuntu Linux another go on the desktop, being a prolonged rates b standing Linux geek I always like to control in every so often and see how Ubuntu compares on the Desktop. Why I am doing this is unclear as I have W7 desktop instal which works damned (well it’s windows, it works ok). I installed Ubuntu 11. 04 dual boot with Windows 7 on my Dell M2400 laptop, the put went well and my party rebooted. An Ubuntu desktop training graven image and a swirling loading cursor likeness, I reasoning to myself here comes the exertion… I could already see the next few hours of my mortal being wasted trolling through diversified Google search machine denouement pages. Anyway, I rebooted the laptop it started to encumber up and made some type of mutated shrieking blast, the amiable of commotion that rings “Oh ffs that must designate the question drivers are hosed as well” to any technically minded individual… I remained unfailing...

Hi :)
Something was faulty with my Dell laptop, so I rebooted it. And it was fine after that. Everything was working... but now... every just the same from time to time I shut down my computer and restart it, the dell dock keeps opening automatically. So I extremity to keep closing it. This didn't happen before... -.- Is it because I rebooted the laptop?
1. Settle click anywhere on the Dell Dock. This will bring up an options selection menu. Pick "Advanced Settings...".
NOTE: There is an selection to "Close the dock". This will only shut the Dell Dock down for that one term. It will start up, again, the next time you log in, so don't select that option.
