DC charger board on Dell Latitude c640 laptop?

Is there a removable (gist replaceable) DC charger board on the Latitude c640 laptop or is it essential to the mother board? My battery won't charge and I feel it is the charger circuit. I sure hope I can take over from just a $15 part instead of a $200 motherboard.
Thanks for the ideas so far-I do have a tag new a/c adapter (two, actually) and a new battery.

As with most laptops, it is integrated into the take meals. Check the power adapter to motherboard connection, this is a proverbial place for the connection to be lost. You can try to resolder the connector to the panel and see if that fixes the problem. In this case nothing ventured nothing gained. Enquire into the Dell website for the manual for disassembly, they have most manuals online.

While certainly the charger ambit could wear out like most other parts, more commonly the a/c charing adaptor wears out, or the battery cells adulterate and stop holding a charge more frequently that the limit fails. I would suggest replacing the a/c adaptor and/or the battery before looking to the charging circumference.
