How do I get my keyboard on my dell latitude c600 to work properly?

I bought a inured to dell latitude laptop, but it didn't come with any user guides. I noticed a purpose key and so far it only works with the suspend key. It won't work for volume or parade brightness. It worked when I used it the first few times. I must have hit a button that made it fill up working. Can any one tell me what I might have done to my keyboard?
