I am skilled to scroll by dragging my finger along the side, and the arrow responds to where my make a move is on the pad, too. BUT, when tapping, it only works part of the time. I have to restart the computer, and then it works again, but for only a curtail time. I end up using the mouse buttons, which does not retrieve me time and is inconvenient, I'd much rather be tapping the touchpad. Any ideas?
Try reinstalling or updating your touchpad driver. If you go to dell.com, go to their maintain page. You should be able to find you service tag/key/whatever it is on the bottom of your computer. Type it in, and try to get to the bellhop for your product's drivers, and download the most recent touchpad driver for your operating system.
