I recently wiped its unkind drive and installed a fresh copy of XP. The system specs on Dells website say it has a: Intel PRO Wireless 2200 WLAN (802.11b/g)
However i find no options to associate to a wireless network. it worked fine before the wipe.
You requisite to also reinstall the drivers for the various components of the system.
Some of them are automatically installed by XP, some are only installed as generic drivers, and some are not installed at all.
The operating system has only a limited list of drivers that it can install as part of the OS install deal with.
