That's the only corporal switch unfortunately. If you're running Ubuntu you can place Airport something...can't remember the name exactly at the moment (at business). It will allow you to switch it on though. I had the exact same problem on mine. If you fancy you can send me an email reminding me to look on my mini and get the name of the program for you.
