With the minimal info, I would say go with the $650 HP laptop. You won't notice the difference between 640 GB sharp drive and 750 GB hard drive, unless you have a LOT of pictures, music, video games, or some big confederation. The big difference is the RAM, and having 6 GB of it instead of 4 GB is very helpful, peculiarly to run higher quality programs, multitask quick, etc.
