How can i check the soundcard on my Hp Windows vista laptop?

I recently installed a logitech webcam on my computer and now the speakers on my computer dont start sound if i have it plugged in (and yes i check that nothing is muted). Most of the websites ive visited portray me to check the soundcard and make sure its set to the non-fulfilment settings. I have a newer Hp laptop with windows vista, how can i return my soundcard to its come up short settings?

In the Restrain Panel, check the sound properties. Namely, make peace sure the sound device is still the selected machinery. I have seen some webcams that enable the modem or other heraldic bearing as the default for chat program purposes.

Click Start, Direct Panel and Administrative Tools, and then double-click on the Services icon. Scroll down to the Writing Spooler Service, right-click on it and tiptop Stop. This will clear all items officially from your type queue.
