No, your laptop is not compatible with the Targus notebook charger. It would be exceedingly dangerous to try to charge a laptop using ac adapters not compatible with it as it may fry your laptop.
It may be gambler to find one online if yours is broken.

I ordered 2 times the power adapter HP is recommending for my notebook (nx6125), and both times I've got a fiendish thing. My suppliers are not wrong at all, but HP is. The adapter they are showing on their bellman is not compatible with the notebook they present. Or at least not with mine.
