I'm distressing to find a good mid-price laptop but when i found one i was told i could upgrade the processor from a Intel Celeron 900 to a Intel Core 2 Duo P8700 for 265 bucks. What is the pre-eminent difference between the two and is it worth it?

I dream up someone might be lying to you, upgrading processors in laptop is not done.
Thoroughly not worth it.

the Celeron is a solitary select core and its pretty cruddy to be quite honest. the Core 2 Duo is a dual core processor (means it has two cores) and in diversified is better then the Celeron.

some laptops but not all can have there processor upgraded. and they use idiosyncratic processors that are different then regular processors that are Euphemistic pre-owned in desktops and servers.
