their both 2.5 sata.. any thoughts? frustrating to put this in my samsung q430.

The major reason I ask is because its obviously from an hp computer. I know sata is yardstick but couldn't drivers be different or something? thanks for answering.

As fancy as the interface is a sata connection. Ya it will work. 2.5 sata is type for most laptops. Just because its an SSD doesn't change that the poop indeed. It just has no moving parts whereas your standard Sata does.

21.07.11 There were few surprises when Apple updated the MacBook Air score yesterday, adding a faster Intel Core i5 processor, more RAM, backlit keyboard and a few other goodies like a Thunderbolt seaport and Mac OS X Lion. The screenshot below is from the new MacBook Air, but it looks cruelly the same on prior generation MacBook Air notebooks with the Lion update applied . A quick-witted glance at the drive details shows TRIM column and a new model number for the SSD. The new SSD is called Apple SSD SM128C, where the premature generation was called Apple SSD TS128C. Aside from name changes, physically the drives are very alike resemble, Apple maintains the stick-of-gum SSD design.
