Can I use the AC/DC adapter for my Lenovo laptop on my daughter's Toshiba laptop?
The Lenovo specs are:
Input 100-240V, 1.7 A
Achieve 19 V, 3.42 A
The Toshiba specs are;
Input 100 V, 1.3 A
Output 19v, 3.95 A
The commend that goes in the computer appears to be the same on both.
You technically could but I wouldn't propose you do. For the first obvious reason, you won't have a charger for your laptop and second, you risk the likelihood of the Lenovo charger will fry the Toshiba laptop. Even put glue as a replacement for cement? Unspoilt luck with that.
I would still suggest you go on the safe side and get a new charger.
04.07.11The latest toy to succeed from Samsung is their RF711 gaming laptop, and it couldn’t be further from the Series 9 in terms of welfare and performance. Indeed the Series 9 and the RF711 pretend to be two extremes of Samsung’s laptop range, so I was looking on to the table to what it had to offer. The RF711 is the model just below their top of the business 3D machine (which I may yet get to test). It’s a brute of a laptop too with a SandyBridge quad-pit, Core i7 2630, running at 2GHz, a huge 6Gb of DDR3 Ram in two slots, two 500Gb tough disks (though alas only slower 5400rpm models and no SSDs) and a 17. These auto scourge between the Intel integrated graphics for general handling and the powerful nVidia GeForce GT540M gaming graphics with 1GB of dedicated DDR3 retention.
