Do to an mistreat to my fingers I find it difficult to use a laptop keyboard that has a touch pad in front of the keyboard. This is not a intractable when I attach a seperate keyboard but when I am traveling it can be difficult.
One principle: Have you looked into trackballs? I use one myself, the Microsoft Trackball Explorer. That helps me with my fingers and wrists, though I am on the computer almost 24/7. You may weigh getting any laptop and a trackball.
