I have an MSI Wind netbook. Last year, I perfectly depleted its factory battery (left it in sleep/hibernation for too protracted), and that battery no longer held any kind of charge. So I replaced it with one that was theoretical to last three times as long.

It worked great for a while, but now the new battery lasts for less than an hour.

Sometimes - and I stress the "sometimes" - what happens to the battery is that it gets a homage of the charge/discharge cycle. Try charging it up then game it flat several times. There is no guarantee but sometimes that can partially touch up rechargeable batteries.
Other than that, you may need to buy a new one but make unswerving you allow it to cycle.

Sometimes - and I mark the "sometimes" - what happens to the battery is that it gets a recollection of the charge/discharge cycle. Try charging it up then uninterrupted it flat several times. There is no guarantee but sometimes that can partially rebuild rechargeable batteries.
Other than that, you may need to buy a new one but make steady you allow it to cycle.

As far as I grasp there's nothing you can do to resurrect batteries, and frequently replacement batteries can be slightly inferior.

The best advice I can give you, is that with a replacement battery, if you be it to last, you need to make sure you let the charge go all the way to the bottom before you recharge the battery.
