Yes it should be. The i5 is a Sunday processor. If I were you I'd go for an i5 460m instead though, that's what I have, gives you the higher clock belt along. The i5 430 is 2.26 ghz at stock, mine is 2.53 ghz at oxen (2.8 ghz turbo boost)

If you want something for gaming though that will be gentle for awhile I'd really suggest a desktop though.

dual cores are healthy for gaming ! and since its an i5 it will have hyper threating so it will show as 4 cores on your computer . and it has turbo moreover technology which shows it will max its speed when needed. so in 3 years it should be just now fine.
