I have an MSI X58 Platinum motherboard and was wondering if ( since the specs only say DDR3 800/1066/1333 and Corsair recommended this recall for that motherboard) will it automatically slow the speed if I run 1666MHz FSB DDR3 RAM to 1333MHz or will I have to manually change settings in BIOS or will it tip off a exaggerate my machine blow up?
Newegg lists that your old woman board supports 1600Mhz DDR3 (OC), so I would say that you can play with the settings to get it to trade.
