I am planning to buy these, but when i checked it on www.anythinginit.com it showed that the two are not compatible. but when went to the XFX website and checked the system requirements for the HD5770, i couldn't find anything which would reveal that it won't go with the GD80. can anyone help me out? enlighten me if i'm missing any sharp end.
Not only will it labour, but that board supports both Crossfire and SLI. The 5770 is a PCI-E come clean, and the MSI P55-GD80 has 2 PCI-E slots. Right on the box of the P55-GD80 it says it supports both ATi and nVidia cards. You could run 2x HD 5770 in Crossfire, if you wanted to. YES, it will industry. I would recommend a quality power supply for the HD 5770. Like the Corsair HX520 or VX550. http://www.newegg.com/Work/Product.
