i bought myself a MSI P55-GD80 today and i noticed that it manifestly needed an 8-pin ATX, although on the plugin it has a cover over 4 out of 8 pin sockets. my Power provision has all of the correct requirements for power except that it only has a 4-pin ATX for power. will this still trade? i dont think MSI covered up four of the eight ports for no deduce.

4 pin interrelationship usually works when processor has less than 100W TDP. 8-pin drag relatives is needed by the higher wattage processors (>100W). Use a 4-pin to 8-pin adapter if you will use a exorbitant wattage processor.
