I've been using dev c++ for a bit now but ive noticed alot of the tutorials on the web are based on Microsoft visual c++ so I was wondering, how much syntax is unusual in Visual c++ and is it more powerful?

The programming syntax is nice-looking much the same. Visual studio is more taxing on a system, and has lots of tools and options. It can be good-natured of confusing because of all the options. Creating projects takes more vocation and configurations. Visual studio is meant for professionals working on goodly projects.
