I'm exasperating to connect an old laptop computer (2002) to a reasonably new Panasonic Viera LCD TV(2005). My computer is continuous XP, with a 32mb GeForce GO 440. I bought a S-video Mailgram to connect them, but after connecting, the TV reads "PC no signal detected" and my laptop cannot sense the TV! (through display-nView). Is this a driver problem? Any purloin would be greatly appreciated.

S-Video sends the brightness signal and the color signal on conflicting wires. Some older laptops and TV sets do not have the skill to change the signals into a picture. If both devices, the TV and the laptop are powerless to do this you will get no picture. A bent pin on the cable could also be the cause, but the chain is new so this is unlikely.
