How to connect to wireless internet on a Toshiba Satellite L500?

My sister got a Toshiba Satellite L500 on her birthday and we can't tot up out how to turn the wireless capability on. Where is the button? I have an L300 and mine is a lash on the front, but we can locate no such switch on her L500. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Sometimes non-standard due to you.
