Yes, I knew before hand of the poor battery life, which is ~2 hours, in power saving mode. This was not the issue. My biggest concern was with the wireless ability, as my download speeds would constantly fluctuate, often times pausing altogether...

Desktops: Go reasonably much useless for anything is higher because you will not need and you will not get your moneys quality. Do waste you money, I am sure that an i3 will be perfectly superior for what you are going to use it.
